Home away from home:
The Supreme Court View Townhouse is located a stone's throw from several of Washington‘s busiest tourist and business destinations, including: the Library of Congress; U.S. Capitol; Union Station; Senate Offices in the Russell, Dirksen and Hart Buildings; and, as you may have guessed from the Town House's name, the Supreme Court as well. This compact, yet exceptionally comfortable two-bedroom, self-hosted rental offers guests a "home away from home" stay while visiting our Nation's Capitol. The first floor welcomes visitors with a spacious living room in which to relax after a jam packed day of sightseeing or business meetings. Also on the first level, there's a dining room, full bath and completely equipped galley kitchen. The two bedrooms are on the second floor.
The first floor of the Town House has a living room with a TV and DVD, a spacious dining room with a charming farm table and a full bath with tub and shower combination. The galley kitchen has all that you need: a full-size refrigerator, gas stove/oven combination, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, and that all-important coffee maker. All cooking and eating utensils are provided for guest's use. There are also small patios - one in the front, one in the back - that guests are welcome to make use of. The Town House features a stacked washer and dryer, and should you need it, there is an ironing board and iron on hand.
Both bedrooms are on the second floor and allow comfortable sleeping for up to four people. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and the second furnished with a full. Each bedroom has its own window air-conditioning unit, allowing for personal comfort, and both rooms have clock radios as well, so everyone needn't be on the same schedule. All bed and bath linens are provided for your stay. As a self-hosted apartment, neither daily housekeeping nor breakfast are included.
The Supreme Court View Town House is on a small, quiet street, in the heart of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. With this Town House as your base, you'll find it an easy walk to, not just the Supreme Court building - although it is that (of course!) - but to the National Mall, Library of Congress, U.S. Capitol, Union Station and both the Senate and House office buildings as well. Access to Washington’s Metro system is well less than a 15 minute walk to either the Red line at Union Station, or Blue and Orange lines at Capitol South. There are numerous, wonderful restaurants within walking distance, along with distinctive neighborhood shops, and for the more mundane tasks associated with a self-hosted stay, there are grocery and convenience stores, dry cleaners and pharmacies nearby as well. Unfortunately, this property cannot offer parking. The nearest public parking is near Union Station; expect to pay about $20/day.
The Townhouse is available nightly, weekly and monthly. There is a three night minimum stay required.
