A Place in History:
Built during Washington DC’s infancy, this charming two-story Town House offers visitors exceptionally comfortable and convenient accommodations - for short or long term stays - in our Nation’s Capitol. The Town House is located on Independence Ave and 7th Street SE, less than 3 blocks from the Eastern Market Metro, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Library of Congress, U.S. Capitol, Supreme Court and the National Mall. Eastern Market, Washington’s oldest continually operating fresh food market, is just steps away, almost across the street.

Accommodations:
The Town House can accommodate up to six guests comfortably, with two bedrooms on the second floor and a sofa in the living room which opens to a full-size bed. The main bedroom is furnished with a high "four poster" queen-size bed and features large windows that allow for plenty of natural light, as well as a view of Independence Avenue below. The second bedroom is smaller, furnished with a Double sized bed with a twin-size bed attached overhead. Guests will enjoy the newly renovated bath on the second floor which features a large marble shower with glass doors.

The first floor living room is very comfortable, and has a flat screen television with cable. Wireless Internet access is provided throughout the Townhouse. For winter guests, the living room also has an extra heater, one that combines the open-flame look of a real fire place, with the radiating warmth of a wood stove and the cleanliness and convenience of natural gas - simply turn it on, watch the flames and feel the chill go out of your bones. The kitchen is directly off the living room and has higher-end European appliances and beautiful granite counter tops. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and a stove/oven combination. Open the kitchen closet doors and you'll find the convenient laundry facilities inside. There is no formal dining room; however, the solid tiger maple bar (which separates the kitchen and living rooms) has four stools for casual dining. In warmer months, Town House guests can enjoy the private patio, just off the kitchen, where a large table allows for comfortable dining al fresco.
The Town House provides all bed and bath linens for your stay. The home is cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure; daily housekeeping is the responsibility of the guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking and eating utensils and assorted spices. Eastern Market, very nearby, allows visitors to easily shop for fresh groceries, including bakery items, meats and cheeses.
A three night minimum stay is required for Town House reservations. Arrivals are available starting at 4pm (earlier arrival my be possible depending on the reservations prior to your arrival--Please call). There is off-street parking available for an additional fee of $15 per night. (Except on weekends, on-street parking is reserved for DC residents only.)
Location:
The Town House is just two and a half blocks from the Metro's Eastern Market station, where you can catch the Blue & Orange lines. The U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, National Mall and Smithsonian Museums are just a 10 minute walk West of the House.
