Modern Comfortable Accommodations
The K Street Studio is a newly renovated Garden level apartment offering about 500 sq feet of modern, efficient living space. The apartment includes a Galley style kitchen, living area with full-sized sleeper sofa, full-sized bed, and new bath with step-in tiled shower.
 Breakfast to Dinner
The Galley style kitchen is all new, with a gas stove/oven combination, full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and all cooking and dining utensils. Simple breakfasts or dinner for 4 are easy to prepare. The dining table expands in seconds to comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests.
Open Living Area
The apartment has been designed for the best us of space. The sofa is tucked into a cozy alcove with end tables, built in shelves and plenty of overhead lighting. Opposite the sofa, a large entertainment center includes a 32" LCD television with HD Cable. The new bath includes a step-in tiled shower, new vanity and linen storage.
A full-sized bed is tucked into a sleeping alcove. Simple curtains offer a measure of privacy to close off the sleeping area from the main living area. The sofa opens to a full-sized bed, allowing for up to 4 guests in the apartment.
Amenities Abound
In addition to HD Cable and LCD television, the apartment offers complimentary wireless Internet access. An apartment sized stacking washer and dryer are available making longer stays simple. A writing/computer desk is also provided for guests who who might need a more formal working arrangement. If you are traveling to Washington by car, a permit allowing parking on street can be provided from the owner. A compact stereo with CD player is also included.
 Ever Changing Neighborhood
Our neighborhood offers many nearby choices for restaurants, convenience stores, coffee houses. Currently, Washington is undertaking restoring "Street Car" service on nearby H Street. While not currently operating, the project is expected to be completed late 2010 or early 2011. Already, H Street is home to restaurants such as Napa, Sticky Rice, Taste of Jamaica, Granville Moores, Nabys Island, Twelve, and H Street Martini Lounge. For those looking for exercise, the J.O. Wilson School, just a block away offers a fenced in playground for children with padded "flooring", adjacent soccer field and basketball court surrounded by a cushioned 1/6 mile running track.
Out and About
Washington DC enjoys one of the best public transportation systems in the country. A web of surface bus and underground subway make up the Metro system, providing access to all the sightseeing attractions, as well as the business and conference centers. There are several bus lines either directly in front of the home, or just at the corner, providing access to Union Station, the Washington Convention Center, Dupont Circle, Eastern Market or stop along the National Mall and Smithsonian Museums. Direct subway access is a 15 minute walk to Union Station, or bus to Union Station. In an effort to make travel easier, the owners of the apartment have included a "SmartTrip" card, the Metro's rechargeable fare card that can be used on the Subway, Metro Buses, or the Circulator.
