Quiet Upper Northwest Location:

    Chevy Chase Bed and Breakfast is in a gracious home, built in 1927, in a residential neighborhood of Upper Northwest Washington. The neighborhood offers a quiet, comfortable atmosphere, yet is close to restaurants, shopping and excellent public transportation.  From the home it's a short, three-minute walk to Connecticut Avenue. There, you can catch an express bus that travels right downtown - to Dupont Circle or the White House and the nearby National Mall.  Likewise, the National Zoo and other nearby destinations such as American University, the National Institutes of Health, and the Marriott Wardman or Omni Shoreham hotels are an easy trip from here.

    For those travelers who prefer to use Washington’s Metro (subway) system, a twelve-minute walk will bring you to Friendship Heights station on the Red line or, if the walk doesn't suit you, you can catch a bus on Connecticut Avenue that will take you to the Red line's Van Ness station. For those visitors traveling to DC by car, this B&B can provide free on street parking directly in front of the house.

Personal Accommodations:

    The Chevy Chase Circle B&B is a small, private home offering accommodations for up to five people in the same party. The main guest room is a second floor suite with queen-size bed, private hall bath, and cozy sitting room. The sitting room is furnished with a twin-size day bed, allowing for an extra guest. For larger parties, there's an additional bedroom with a pair of twin beds that can be reserved, along with the main guest room, for an additional fee. The guest party would share the hall bath. Those with allergies or sensitivities to fragrance will appreciate that all bed and bath linens are laundered using hypoallergenic detergents and fabric softeners.

    Guests are invited to make use of the first floor living room with its working fireplace, and the TV in the front parlor. This hostess spent a number of years with the US Diplomatic Service in the Near East, and also worked for a time at the Textile Museum here in Washington DC. Interesting examples of her life abroad and love for textiles can be seen in the home's colorful, contemporary décor.

Hearty Breakfast:

    Breakfast is a special event at Chevy Chase B&B. Did we forget to mention that the hostess has also worked in the catering business? Well, come morning there's no mistaking her talent and love of cooking! You'll have a delicious breakfast to rouse and sustain you for your day of work or sightseeing. Since those who stay here are the only guests, breakfast hours can be fairly flexible. Special dietary needs can usually be accommodated as well, please just let us know when you make your reservation.  By the way, it's not uncommon for this hostess to offer afternoon tea and cookies when she's home.
