Taxi service is available from every airport. There are additional options specific to each airport detailed as follows.
- Taxi service to most of the Bed and Breakfast homes in our system is about $25 for a party of 2
- Metrorail service is available using the blue and yellow lines, connecting to all other lines in the city.
- Supershuttle, a van service with door-to-door service, is about $14 per person and $10 for each additional person.
- Taxi service fares are about $85 for a party of 2
- Metrobus provides shuttle service from the airport to the Greenbelt station of the Metrorail. The bus fare is $3 per person.
- Supershuttle fares are about $37 for the first person and $12 for each additional person up to 7
- MARC train commuter rail, operating Monday to Friday about 1 every hour. Fares are roughly $7
- Amtrak trains, fares $13-26 one way.
Note: BWI is approximately 35 geographic miles from downtown DC. Expect travel times to range from 1 hour to as much as 2 hours.
- Taxi service fares are about $85 for a party of 2
- A private company, the Washington Flyer, provides bus service to the West Falls Church station of the Metrorail. The bus fare is about $10 one-way, $18 round trip.
- Supershuttle fares are about $29 for the first person and $10 for each additional person up to 7.
- Metrobus provides service from Dulles to L'Enfant Plaza. This is the 5A, for about a $3 fare.
Note: Dulles is approximately 35 geographic miles from downtown DC. Expect travel times to range from 1 hour to as much as 2 hours.
- Taxi service from Union Station to almost every B&B in our system is fast and efficient. Fares in Washington are now based time and mileage. Most homes in the Capitol Hill, Logan Circle, Dupont Circle and Convention Center/Shaw neighborhoods can be reached by taxi for fares in the $8-12 range. Traveling to Upper Northwest homes would likely be more in the range of $12-15.
- Washington's Metrorail, subway provides access at Union Station with the Red line. Many of the B&B's located on Capitol Hill are within walking distance of Union Station.
- Taxi service to almost every B&B in our system is fast and efficient. Fares in Washington are based on time and mileage. Most of the B&B's and apartments are located within a $8-10 fare for 2 persons.
- Metrorail access is a short walk from the Bus station to Union Station for the Red line.
- If your flights are arriving 9pm or later, most B&B's will require that you take taxi service from BWI or Dulles in order to reach the B&B at a reasonable hour. Service buy SuperShuttle, Bus and Metro, becomes much less consistent later in the evening.
- Please be courteous to your hosts. If your arrival has been delayed with later landings or arrivals, please contact your hosts to make them aware.
- If you choose to arrive by car to your selected B&B or vacation rental, please be sure to ask us for driving directions, and inquire about parking options.
